Job summary

Exchange Bank is seeking an Account Services Specialist to join our Nebraska network on-site at Lincoln, Omaha, Kearney, Grand Island, and Gibbon. You will support internal and external clients by handling account maintenance and electronic banking tasks with accuracy and strong customer service.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s Degree or 1–2 years related experience, solid communication skills, and knowledge of banking principles.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 1–2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven problem solving and ability to maintain/build customer relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with coworkers.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Working knowledge of banking principles and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
• Experience with Fiserv Precision/Director is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records for all branches across multiple locations.
• Process Debit/ATM card orders and updates.
• Manage customer identification information: add new customers, update existing data.
• Handle Deposit accounts/IRAs: process new accounts, updates, rate changes and offsets, complete requested maintenance.
• Add and verify Safe Deposit Box agreements.

As an Exchange Bank Account Services Specialist, you have the opportunity to be part of a specialized team and provide support for internal and external clients. This team contributes to the operation of the bank by ensuring accuracy with internal documentation, account maintenance, and electronic banking while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions:

• Perform duties for all branches by maintaining records in the following areas:
• Debit/ATM card ordering
• Customer identification information: Adding new customers, updating existing information
• Deposit accounts/IRAs: Processing new accounts, updating existing accounts, rate modifications and offsets, complete requested maintenance
• Safe deposit boxes: Adding new agreements, verifying agreements

Position Qualifications:

• Minimum educational and experience requirements: Associate’s Degree or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
• Additional knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven performance in problem solving and with maintaining/building customer relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating tact and professionalism with coworkers
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, banking principles, and bank reporting requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Software experience with Fiserv Precision/Director helpful.
