Position Overview

We are a Top 5% Country-Wide State Farm Insurance Agency located in West Des Moines, Iowa and we are seeking an outgoing, career-oriented professional to join our team. As a State Farm team member for James Lunders, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and promote State Farm products including auto, home and life insurance. If you don't have experience, no problem! We can teach you everything you need to know. What's more important to us is that you have drive and a good attitude. We will guide you through the process of becoming a State Farm agent.

Responsibilities

• Use a customer‑focused, needs‑based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
• Work with the agent to establish and meet sales goals.
• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.

Requirements

• Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred, but not required
• Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
• Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs
• Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
• Self‑motivated
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi‑task
• Ability to make presentations to potential customers
• Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)
• Life and Health license (must be able to obtain)

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
