Craig Vickers State Farm Agency | Keene, NH
The Craig Vickers State Farm Agency in Keene, NH is looking for a motivated, relationship-focused professional to join our team as an Insurance & Financial Services Representative.
This is a production-focused role, but our approach is consultative and needs-based — not transactional.
We believe the best insurance conversations start by understanding the customer. That means asking good questions, listening carefully, learning what's important to them, and helping identify needs or gaps they may not have considered.
We're looking for someone who enjoys talking with people and is comfortable having deeper conversations about their goals, their families, the things they've worked to build, and what they want to protect.
You also need to be willing to create opportunities. Successful team members don't simply wait for the phone to ring. They proactively reach out to customers and prospects, make outbound calls, follow up consistently, and take ownership of their results.
In return, we offer a $55,000 base salary for Property & Casualty licensed candidates, commission opportunities with significant additional earning potential, benefits, retirement matching, paid time off, and a four-day workweek every other week.
We don't believe in simply selling someone a policy and moving on to the next transaction.
Our goal is to understand the bigger picture.
Property & Casualty insurance is an important part of this role and is often where a customer relationship begins. Someone may initially contact us for an Auto or Home quote, but that conversation gives us an opportunity to get to know them, understand what's important to them, and earn the right to have broader conversations.
For us, P&C is often the gateway to a much bigger conversation.
Do they have the right protection for their home and assets? What would happen financially to their family if something happened to them? Are there Life or Health insurance needs they haven't addressed? What are their longer-term financial goals?
Our job is to ask, listen, educate, uncover needs, and help customers make informed decisions.
That requires curiosity, empathy, confidence and a willingness to have conversations that go beyond price.
Candidates with an active Property & Casualty license start at $55,000 annually, plus commission.
There are commission opportunities associated with Property & Casualty production, but the most significant additional earning opportunities come from Life, Health and Financial Services production.
For a team member who consistently engages customers in deeper needs-based conversations, identifies appropriate opportunities, and follows through, an additional $1,000–$3,000 per month in Life, Health and Financial Services commissions is a realistic production target.
That represents approximately $12,000–$36,000 in potential additional annual compensation, beyond base salary and any applicable P&C commissions.
Commissions are based on actual production and are not guaranteed.
We also believe compensation should be understandable. During the interview process, we're happy to walk interested candidates through the commission structure and show the math behind different production scenarios so you can see how various levels of Life, Health and Financial Services production translate into compensation.
While an active Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred, it is not required to apply.
We're willing to invest in the right person.
Life & Health licensing, prior insurance experience, and Financial Services experience are all a plus, but they are not required to apply.
Insurance knowledge can be learned. We're primarily looking for the right combination of initiative, curiosity, accountability, communication skills, work ethic and desire to succeed.
We expect a high level of engagement and performance when you're here, and we also believe having meaningful time outside of work matters.
This position follows a 9/80 two-week schedule, providing one scheduled weekday off every other week while maintaining a full-time schedule.
Regular workday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch.
Your scheduled day off can be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, based on your preference and coordinated with office coverage.
That means 26 additional weekdays off each year compared with a traditional five-day workweek.
Use the extra day for appointments, travel, family, hobbies, a long weekend, or simply having a weekday to yourself.
Your primary responsibility is to develop relationships with customers and prospects, understand their needs, and help connect those needs with appropriate insurance and financial solutions.
A typical day may include:
You don't necessarily need an insurance background to be successful here. We're looking for someone who has the right mindset and enjoys working with people.

We're looking for someone who wants more than a job quoting insurance or processing transactions.
This is an opportunity to develop professionally, build meaningful relationships with customers, and become someone customers trust when making important decisions about protecting what they've built and planning for their future.
You’ll have the stability of a $55,000 base salary once P&C licensed, combined with performance-based compensation that gives you the ability to meaningfully increase your income as you develop your skills and production.
You’ll also have something that’s difficult to put a price on: a four-day workweek every other week.
We want someone who works hard, takes ownership of their results, wants to continue getting better, and appreciates having meaningful time away from work as well.
If you’re self-motivated, curious about people, comfortable starting conversations, willing to pick up the phone, and interested in helping customers make informed decisions about protecting what matters to them, we’d like to talk with you.
Insurance experience is welcome. The right mindset is essential.
