Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, seeks an Account Representative in the Sheboygan area. The full-time role offers Monday–Friday daytime hours with an hourly pay range of $25.85–$32.00, plus commissions, annual bonus opportunities, and full benefits.

You will partner with Account Managers to grow account volume and profitability by promoting Viking Electric’s offerings, including digital solutions, and by coordinating with Customer Service to ensure accurate orders and stellar service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and proactively follow up on quotes and sales opportunities to secure orders, negotiate job pricing with vendors to close opportunities, and source products in an efficient manner.
• Proactively solicit new business from assigned accounts, maintain knowledge of Viking Electric’s services and products.
• Serve as business partner with Field Account Manager and/or Key Account Managers to develop growth strategies for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives to process orders accurately and efficiently; share customer information for consistent service.
• Support other sales associates to create a cooperative team; maximize sales and profitability by understanding marketplace and competition.
• Assist with pricing strategy and price rule modifications as needed.
• Maintain electronic file system for all customer-related information to close orders.
