Job summary

GEODIS in Elk Grove, IL is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate and execute shipments, ensuring top‑notch customer service and on‑time delivery.

You will maintain communication with customers, carriers, overseas agents and vendors, and support rate calculations, pricing, and invoicing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years in import of goods, ocean freight knowledge, and familiarity with government requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the importation of goods.
• Knowledge of the movement of freight via ocean.
• Knowledge of Government Agency requirements.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
