Job description

About Psych Hub

Psych Hub is a behavioral health education company. Behavioral health clinicians are trained once, licensed, and then largely left alone. Most never get structured practice in the interventions the evidence actually supports. That gap is why care quality varies so widely from one clinician to the next, and closing it is the premise of our company.

We have built more than a hundred accredited clinical courses across more than ten continuing education bodies, Clinical Care Pathway (CCP) certifications that verify a clinician is equipped to treat a specific condition, hundreds of patient-facing resources, an AI therapy simulator where clinicians rehearse difficult conversations, and an enterprise learning platform with single sign-on, LTI integration, and the ability for a group to host its own content alongside ours.

We were co-founded by Marjorie Morrison, a licensed psychotherapist, and Patrick J. Kennedy, former U.S. Congressman and lead author of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.

About the role

This is a relationship job, not a cold-calling job, and it starts from an unusually strong position.

We already work with most of the larger behavioral health provider groups in the country in some capacity. Separately, several national health insurance plans pay for every provider on their behavioral health panels to earn Clinical Care Pathway certifications at no cost. At a large share of the groups on your target list, clinicians are already logging into our platform before you ever interact with them.

That sponsored access is deliberately narrow, and it is the wedge. A Clinical Care Pathway defines how a given condition should be treated, from screening through follow-up. Our course library is mapped to that pathway so a clinician can build and demonstrate the competency it requires. The plan funds the pathway. The library, the CE credit, the simulator, the patient content, and the platform are what you sell.

Your market is national and regional behavioral health provider organizations, virtual and in-person, including substance use and intensive outpatient operators. Groups where clinician quality is the product, turnover is expensive, and onboarding never stops.

What you will do
Deepen the groups we already work with
  • Map our existing accounts. Learn who owns clinical quality, who owns learning and development, who owns talent, and who signs.
  • Grow those accounts: more clinicians covered, additional service lines and locations, new products, and multi-year commitments.
  • Partner with our clinical and customer success teams so deployments actually get used. In a seat-based business, engagement is the leading indicator of every renewal.
Convert the access we already have
  • Identify which provider groups have clinicians actively using their plan-sponsored access, and use that engagement as the opening.
  • Build the business case that moves a group from free to a paid enterprise relationship: the full library, CE credit for the whole clinical staff, the simulator, patient content, and their own content hosted alongside ours.
  • Work closely with our payer-facing counterpart so that plan sponsorship and direct group sales reinforce each other instead of colliding.
Open new provider groups
  • Build and work a target list, and run the full cycle from first conversation through signed agreement, with active support from the SVP of Strategic Partnerships and our founders.
  • Keep an honest pipeline. With three to six month cycles and a high volume of concurrent deals, pipeline discipline is not overhead, it is the job.
What success looks like

At 90 days. You can explain the clinical logic behind our products, not just the features. You have met the key contacts at our largest accounts and built a prioritized target list from real usage data.

At six months. You have closed your first expansions and your first conversions from plan-sponsored access to paid partnership. Your pipeline is full and your forecast is trusted.

At twelve months. You have delivered against a revenue number, measurably increased the number of clinicians covered by a paid Psych Hub relationship, and turned the conversion motion into something repeatable.

What we are looking for
What you need
  • Four to six years in sales, account management, partnerships, or client success, with at least some of it selling to healthcare provider organizations.
  • A working understanding of how provider groups operate: how clinicians are onboarded and supervised, why turnover is the number that keeps operators awake, and what CE requirements mean for a licensed workforce.
  • Evidence that you build relationships people value. We will ask for specifics.
  • Comfort managing many concurrent deals of varying size, and the commercial judgment to price against clinician counts and volume tiers without a clean precedent.
  • Clear, credible writing and speaking. You will be in front of senior people early.
  • Willingness to travel roughly 25 percent.
What would help
  • Behavioral health or mental health experience, professional or personal. You do not need to be a clinician, but you do need to care.
  • Experience selling learning platforms, clinical content, or workforce solutions into healthcare.
  • Experience converting free or sponsored users into paying enterprise accounts.

You do not need a clinical license, a graduate degree, or a track record of closing eight-figure deals. If you have spent a few years selling into healthcare providers, you are good with people, and you want to spend your career on something that matters, we want to talk to you.

Why this role

Most sales jobs ask you to create demand from nothing. This one asks you to convert demand that already exists, and you will have the data to prove it. You will also work directly with a clinical co-founder who will sit in the room when the conversation gets technical rather than sending you into it alone. The provider market is where this company gets big, and you would be early in it.

Compensation and benefits
  • Base salary of $95,000 to $105,000, depending on experience.
  • On-target earnings of $135,000 to $145,000, with variable compensation tied to expansion revenue, conversions from sponsored to paid, and new group contracts.
  • A non-recoverable draw through your first two quarters, because healthcare sales cycles take time to build and we do not think you should carry that risk alone.
  • Meaningful equity in a company growing in value.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plan, and paid time off.
