Job summary

Hilb Group is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team in Williston Park or Staten Island, NY. This hybrid role focuses on proactive client servicing, policy changes, billing, and renewal negotiations to maximize retention and growth.

You will serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned book, work closely with carriers, and leverage AMS360 to manage inquiries and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• 3+ years in customer service or sales in the P&C insurance industry.
• Strong communication via phone or email.
• Excellent listening skills to identify client needs and opportunities.
• Self-directed with good time management and decision making.
• Proficient with insurance software, specifically AMS360.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business as primary client relationship owner.
• Handle coverages, policy changes, billing, endorsements and related paperwork.
• Coordinate between clients and carriers to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
• Review renewal/expiration lists, obtain updates, and negotiate renewal pricing when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of company systems and service offerings.

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Williston Park or Staten Island, NY. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business acting as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for overall account servicing and maintenance
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business
• Handle billing, service and endorsement requests and process necessary paperwork associated with requested
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship
• Handle renewal/expiration list for assigned book of business, reviewing loss information, obtaining updated information, renewal applications, and negotiating renewal pricing when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School degree
• 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone or email
• Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills
• Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360

Compensation:

$65,000-$75,000/yr.
