General Responsibilities/Decision-Making Authority:
  • Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with target HCPs.
  • Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages, including therapeutic area disease-state information.
  • Engage in business planning and execution.
  • Increase HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, clinical data, safety, and efficacy.
  • Provide HCPs with tools to facilitate patient education about the therapeutic area.
  • Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps.
  • Enhance awareness of the therapeutic area and assist HCPs in identifying treatment gaps in diagnosed patients.
  • Achieve call activity, adherence, and financial targets within the territory.
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
  • At least two years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or the assigned therapeutic area is preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare institutions and managed care; experience selling within healthcare institutions is advantageous.
  • Ophthalmology or Eye Care experience is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically, including overnight stays, with most time spent in the market.
