A day in the life...


As the Account Manager - NE, you will champion the iconic Russell Stover brand through appropriate promotion and pricing activities. To achieve our goal of aggressively gaining market share, we are looking for a strong analytical and sales driven mindset with a track record of success in developing strategic, winning strategies with wholesale partners. In this role, you will have experience thriving in a fast-growing CPG environment with the ability to be a collaborative, responsive partner with both internal and external customers.


What you will be doing...



  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with retail buyers and teams

  • Achieve true net sales growth through accurate performance analysis, forecasting and planning for the everyday inline business

  • Manage budgets and funds to achieve optimal ROI

  • Ensure consistent forecast accuracy for everyday items on a monthly and annual basis

  • Develop and execute ongoing distribution objectives for your grocery customers, including Wakefern, Giant Eagle, Wegmans, Tops, Price Chopper.

  • Develop and execute new item presentations to meet current and future objectives

  • Plan and implement promotional plans

  • Budget and manage trade funds

  • Collect competitive activity on an ongoing basis and perform as a category expert

  • Provide category management and analytical support to the team using IRI platforms

  • Manage the weekly and seasonal internal business reviews using POS and category data

  • Manage the E-Comm business collaborating with external and internal partners

(Basic Qualifications)



  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the grocery sales channel

  • 3 years of experience in a combination of sales, category, and analysis

  • Experience in a direct sales (non brokered) environment

(Preferred Qualifications)



  • Direct account management or sales support role in CPG with Northeast grocery retailers

  • Account management experience in confection or food/beverage

  • Strong understanding and experience leveraging syndicated IRI data

  • Effective story building and public speaking for internal/ external presentations.

  • Experience with promotional planning/deduction management systems or proven experience with managing financials related to promotional product spending

  • Ability to create financial recommendations utilizing basic ROI analysis

  • High level of follow-up, availability, and responsiveness to internal and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability in public speaking and effective customer presentations

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with channel and/or customers are highly desired
