What You’ll Do

You will support our business growth, profitability, and client retention by developing and maintaining an effective account management strategy for assigned accounts within our Employee Benefits Sales and Service office. Your focus will be on groups with 500-4999 lives, which may involve complex plan designs, administrative issues, multiple divisions, and locations. Developing effective relationships and communicating with diverse audiences will be key, along with high-level problem solving and decision making, all while delivering top-notch service to clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and manage relationships with policyholders and producers through regular visits, negotiations, responsive communication, and problem resolution.
  2. Understand client needs, act as a liaison to initiate plan improvements, and resolve administrative issues.
  3. Organize pre-renewal visits to analyze claims and review coverage, managing amendments as needed.
  4. Monitor renewal activity, prepare renewal strategies, gather underwriting data, and justify renewal decisions.
  5. Negotiate rates and contract provisions, pursue profitability and retention opportunities.
  6. Identify opportunities to sell additional coverage or plan improvements.
  7. Review proposals, facilitate submission and implementation of new accounts, and support enrollment processes.
  8. Mentor office staff on service issues.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years in group insurance account management for 500+ lives.
  2. Life and Disability insurance licenses for all states in the territory.
  3. A personal vehicle with adequate insurance and a safe driving record.
  4. Experience managing mergers, acquisitions, and organizational change.
  5. Enthusiasm for leading and advocating change.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $90,000
