Job summary
Insurance Office of America in Southern California is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business, drive retention, and support new client acquisitions. You will coordinate daily account services, renewal negotiations, billing, claims support, and coverage analyses while guiding junior staff and ensuring data accuracy.
Hybrid work is available with remote options for California residents; a valid P&C license and professional designation (CIC or equivalent)
Qualifications
- Active property & casualty licensing is required.
- Experience in insurance brokerage and client needs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
- Direct daily activities of the account management team.
- Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals.
- Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
