Qualifications

Fortun Insurance is a leading agency in the Florida market with over 40 years of experience. With offices in Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Cape Coral, and Ormond Beach, we are expanding our Commercial Lines Team and are seeking motivated, customer-focused professionals. About the Role:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and retaining an assigned book of business. You will guide clients through the entire renewal and binding process, ensuring all required documents are obtained. This role involves building relationships with new clients and nurturing existing client relationships. You will also work closely with brokers and insurance carriers to maintain and grow valued partnerships.

What You’ll Do:

Client Interaction:

  • Provide support to clients, including decision-makers and day-to-day representatives.
  • Follow up with clients to address their needs and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Collect all necessary documentation for renewing and binding coverage.
  • Prepare client renewals with proposals and presentations, including cross-selling strategies.
  • Introduce new products and ensure proper resources are in place for clients.

Carrier Relationship Management:

  • Present accounts to multiple markets and compare quotes.
  • Complete all documents required for binding and send the bind order to the carrier/broker.
  • Follow up to ensure completion of the file for bound coverage (binder, invoice, policy).
  • Maintain strong, healthy relationships with carriers.

Teamwork and Growth:

  • Attend training and meetings to stay updated on industry knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with Producers, Account Managers, and CSRs to ensure team success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty License (required).
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines with strong technical knowledge of middle-market insurance.
  • Experience with Acord forms and completing supplemental applications.
  • Knowledge of Surplus Lines market and its requirements.
  • Understanding of class codes.
  • AMS360 experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
