Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines in California to support the account team with policy administration, billing, claims handling, and coverage analysis.

You will work with an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer to ensure accurate submissions, renewals, and timely processing while maintaining high service levels. A active P&C license is required and strong insurance knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty license required; professional designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct renewals: research, underwriting information, submissions, proposals, bind coverage.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
• Assist in reviewing contracts for proper coverages.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
