About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller with a specialization in ABA therapy to join our growing team in a contract-to-hire position. This role is ideal for an Account Manager type professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates ownership of assigned accounts, and has a deep understanding of state-specific billing regulations. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end revenue cycle (billing and payment posting) for up to five assigned provider groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit accurate claims for ABA therapy services in accordance with payer guidelines and deadlines.
• Perform payment posting, including ERA/EOB reconciliation and patient balance tracking.
• Review and correct claim denials and rejections; initiate appeals as needed.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of payer rules, including Medicaid and commercial payers, in the following states:
• Louisiana
• Kansas
• New Jersey
• Washington
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and internal team members to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
• Provide regular reporting on account status, collections, and outstanding issues.
• Act as an account manager, maintaining client satisfaction through prompt and professional billing support.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 2 years specific to ABA therapy services.
• Strong knowledge of payer rules and authorization requirements across the six listed states.
• Proficient with billing software and clearinghouse systems (e.g., Calmanac, RXNT, or similar).
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding for ABA therapy.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Proven experience with payment posting and reconciliation.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing multiple provider accounts or billing groups simultaneously.
• Familiarity with ABA therapy authorization and treatment plan processes.
• Previous experience in a remote role with time management accountability.
