Responsibilities

• Provide accurate client quotes and planting plans.
• Onsite customer service and communication with clients and crew.
• Coordinate with crew leaders and other account managers.
• Monitor the efficiency of maintenance crews.
• Be reachable by phone and email for clients and team members.
• Hold team leaders accountable for results.
• Teach plant identification and plant care.
• Source materials and estimate costs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Perform other related activities as assigned.

Job description

We are an expanding professional landscape company in the greater Seattle and Eastside area seeking a full-time Account Manager. Kaleidoscope has been running strong for over 40 years; we are a family-owned company that provides continuing education opportunities, a supportive environment, and a high level of trust and professionalism.

The Account Manager will have the ability to consult with clients, identify requirements, provide quotes, oversee multiple crews and properties. Must be able to communicate information in easily understood terms and develop relationships that meet or exceed our clients’ needs and Kaleidoscopes standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Providing accurate client quotes and planting plans
• Onsite-customer service (including working alongside crew as needed) and communication throughout the project with client and crew
• Manage and communicate with crew leaders and account managers
• Monitor the efficiency of each maintenance crew
• Be available for contact by phone and email for clients and team members
• Hold team leader's accountable for results
• Teach plant identification and plant care
• Material sourcing and costing
• Maintain a sense of urgency and goal orientation
• Provide detailed and constructive feedback to crew members
• Maintain accurate and detailed records
• Other related activities as assigned

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

EXCELLENT HORTICULTURE KNOWLEDGE

• Proficient in plant identification and plant care skills in ornamental horticulture
• Strong technical knowledge of garden and lawn maintenance techniques
• Strong technical knowledge of ornamental pests and diseases
• Organic gardening methods
• Irrigation knowledge a plus

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years of experience and/or training in the ornamental horticulture field
• At least 3 years of hands-on work experience in the landscape field
• Irrigation experience and/or training a plus
• Certifications a plus

SKILLS

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to teach horticulture and irrigation techniques and guide crew through projects
