Do you excel at building lasting relationships? Do you understand that sales is more about showing your customer the value proposition than about the price? Do you have experience selling industrial products? If you answered yes to these questions, we may have the role you're looking for!

Airgas is seeking an Account Manager supporting our Specialty Products business. You will own your territory, running it as your own business. Your responsibilities include enhancing customer partnerships, building rapport with prospects, and maintaining gross margins. The role requires converting prospects into long-term customers.

This is a remote position, ideally based in Delphos, OH; Indianapolis, IN; or Detroit, MI, with travel to meet customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customers.
  2. Develop and nurture relationships with prospects to keep the sales funnel active.
  3. Prepare complex bids showcasing our value proposition.
  4. Prepare quotes, supply agreements, and internal documentation for orders.
  5. Generate reports of transactions and expenses.
  6. Build strong internal relationships with operations.
  7. Create and update a territory business plan regularly.
  8. Maintain sales activity reports using Excel and internal systems.
  9. Travel overnight as needed to manage the sales territory.
  10. Flexibility to take on additional key assignments.

Are you a MATCH?

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience selling industrial, food, or chemicals to businesses. Technical knowledge or aptitude is a plus.
