About The Role

Essity Professional Hygiene is currently searching for an experienced Account Manager. The Account Manager will focus on large end user development, working with district distribution partners, retaining and growing existing business, pursuing new multi-segment valid business opportunities, and working with their internal departments on supply chain, merchandising, pricing, and sales & marketing. The Account Manager operates with clear guidance from the Regional Manager, executing on priorities defined by Commercial Planning. Responsible for creating strong relationships and collaboration with designated distributors by proactively retaining existing business and creating shared profitable growth with current and new distribution partners.

The TORK brand offers professional hygiene products and services to customers worldwide ranging from restaurants and healthcare facilities to offices, schools, and industries. Our products include dispensers, paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, sanitizers, napkins, wipers, and also software solutions for data-driven cleaning. Through expertise in hygiene, functional design, and sustainability, TORK has become a market leader that supports customers to think ahead so they’re always ready for business.

This will be a remote position responsible for covering the Chicago market. The ideal candidate should live in the Chicago area with the ability to travel often.

What You Will Do

  1. Plans and develops strong relationships and TORK competence with distribution partners.
  2. Executes clear communication, following Essity Commercial Planning directives and overall BU directives to ensure targets are met regarding distribution partner satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth.
  3. Negotiates with distribution partners in sales district and creates and executes distribution business plans.
  4. Holds business reviews and takes proactive approach in driving cross-selling and upselling in existing accounts.
  5. Translates sales plans into operational sales activities per customer/account according to Sales Manager and Commercial Planning guidelines.
  6. Monitors and adjusts sales activities on a regular basis so that objectives are met.
  7. Pursues sales leads provided from Essity and distributor partner by building a strong distribution partnership.
  8. Secures that DSR are having outstanding knowledge and understanding of Essity products and hygiene solutions.
  9. Actively cooperates with Segment sales in order to support End Customers wins.
  10. Delivers on agreed Sales targets and Sales KPI’s with designated Distribution partners.
  11. First line of response for day-to-day business matters and respond to customer enquiries.
  12. Executes on product mix and hygiene solutions, which contributes to profitability, profitable growth, retention/churn according to agreed goals and sales targets.
  13. Positions TORK as the partner of choice and preferred brand with distribution partners in sales district.
  14. Continuously builds market knowledge and responds to sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitors.
  15. Secures and actively develops own sales competence such as in/of sales & business systems, sales techniques/analytics/customer/product and hygiene solutions/organizational/administrational competence.
  16. Secures strong own competence and actively develops leadership competence according to Essity Leadership platform “Leading Self.”

Who You Are

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  2. 3-5 years of sales experience; 2-3 years of account management.
  3. Must have leading technical capabilities to work in a blended selling role and strong CRM experience; with technical competencies such as OmniChannels, trends in eCommerce, and digital sales communication.
  4. Ability to work virtually with customers and internal teams.
  5. Experience using MS Office, MS Teams, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  6. Proficient in presenting virtual presentations via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
  7. Experience working with CRM systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
  8. Proven negotiating, persuasion, and influencing skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to seek out, identify, qualify and capture revenue opportunities to achieve short and long-term strategic goals.
  10. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships on all levels, team player, and embraces change.
  11. Financial, Business, and Technical acumen, excellent communication skills.
  12. Ability to travel up to 60%; Approximately 1-2 overnights a month.

Compensation and Benefits

$75,000 - $85,000/annual salary range + annual sales incentive + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
