Job Title: Account Manager– Texturants Food – North America - Remote

Nature and Scope:

ADM Texturants offers a variety of ingredient solutions to the food, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets, including lecithin and polyols. The Account Manager is responsible for owning, developing, and growing existing and new Texturants customers within the food segment in North America (US and Canada). This role involves cross-selling ADM’s full range of products including flavors, colors, proteins, and health and wellness ingredients. It provides exposure to customer account selling processes, product discovery, market intelligence, applications, and marketing activities within the food segment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and develop relationships with key customer influencers and decision-makers.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to increase market share for lecithin and polyols, including participation in new product developments and cross-selling nutrition products.
  3. Utilize market information to inform and design business strategies at various levels.
  4. Negotiate sales contracts and manage their execution from agreement to delivery.
  5. Develop and implement account plans for new and existing customers.
  6. Define and achieve annual sales targets set by business managers.
  7. Manage sales volumes, pricing, credit issues, and contracts in collaboration with support teams.
  8. Use customer-related systems such as CRM (including Salesforce.com) and planning tools.
  9. Coordinate customer requirements and develop action plans to generate sales leads and explore new markets.
  10. Provide competitive and timely pricing, maintaining profit margins.
  11. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pricing, and contracts.
  12. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for leadership review.
  13. Travel up to 30-50% as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or science-related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the food ingredients industry.
  • Experience in food science and technical knowledge is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills.
