Your efforts will be crucial in achieving our sales targets and enhancing our Net Promoter Score.

The Account Manager will be responsible for selling custom Automation Solutions in multiple industries, including but not limited to Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, Consumer Products, Electric Vehicles, Energy, Furniture & Appliances, Logistics, Medical, Food Processing, Military, Recreational Vehicle and Transportation, and Oil and Gas. Additionally, the Account Manager will have the opportunity and responsibility to sell across the Convergix Automation platforms including our locations in the US, Canada, and the UK.

What Would a Typical Day Look Like?

  • Drive new and current business relationships with targeted prospects and customers across defined segments and applications.
  • Manage key customer accounts for key target segments including Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, etc.
  • Develop strong relationships with important and prospective customers, including corporate, plant, and facility executives, as well as maintenance, production, and engineering staff.
  • Work closely with customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovative plans to achieve sales growth.
  • Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Develop and execute successful strategies for sales opportunities to increase bookings.
  • Collaborate with the application engineering team to ensure alignment in process and value proposition.
  • Represent Convergix within the industry, promote our brand, and attend industry events.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings to review pipeline and strategy.

What Qualifies You for this Opportunity?

  • College degree (Business or Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Automation equipment, Controls, Mechanical designs, and Robotics.
  • Proven success in selling solutions & equipment, meeting or exceeding KPIs.
  • Technical aptitude to qualify opportunities and communicate with engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of the automation market.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on customer success.
  • Trustworthy and highly coachable.
  • Track record of closing $1M+ projects.
  • Strong network of contacts and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the US and Canada.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to feel objects.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
