Account Management Representative (Illinois)

Location: Must be based in Illinois

Who are we looking for?

Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting opportunity as our Account Management Representative to join our Global Sales Organization team. In this role, you will be responsible for growing Transient and Groups revenue across an assigned portfolio of mid-market and small enterprise accounts. This includes managing existing clients and acquiring new ones. The role is primarily virtual, with occasional customer visits to close deals and lead meetings.

Your Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand customer needs.
  • Monitor account performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Retain customers through contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Identify potential customers via research and networking.
  • Identify key decision makers in prospective accounts.
  • Educate potential clients about Choice’s brands and offerings.
  • Convert prospects into high-performing accounts.
  • Update customer information in CRM systems.
  • Participate in sales and product training.
  • Develop account strategies and action plans to increase revenue and market share.
  • Prepare and conduct quarterly business reviews.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • BA/BS degree or 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce preferred.
  • Hospitality industry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Location near a major city within 30 miles of an airport.
  • Self-starter with goal-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable presenting proposals to clients.

Your Work Location

This is a remote-based role. You will connect virtually via Zoom or Teams and may travel periodically to offices in Rockville, MD, or Scottsdale, AZ. Nationwide travel of 25-50% may be required.

Salary Range

Annual salary: $60,357 to $72,215 plus commissions. Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and performance.
