Job summary

Decimal Engineering is seeking a Customer Account Representative to be the main contact for assigned customers, guiding projects from quote to delivery and coordinating with engineering and production teams to ensure a top-tier customer experience.

You will build strong relationships, prepare quotes, process orders, and communicate status and solutions to customers while maintaining accurate records and representing the company at industry events.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in manufacturing, technical customer service, inside sales, account management, or quoting is preferred.
• Experience with CRM software and AI productivity tools is a plus.
• A proactive, team-first mindset that reflects company values.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts.
• Prepare accurate quotes, process orders, and coordinate customer requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
• Proactively communicate order status, delivery updates, and solutions to customer concerns.
• Resolve issues quickly through problem-solving and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate customer records, documentation, and communications.
• Represent Decimal during customer visits, trade shows, and other industry events.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and internal processes.
