Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Associate Account Manager in the United States to proactively maintain and retain relationships with existing commercial and industrial customers. The role involves outbound and inbound calls to retain business and increase penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of customer service experience, with a preference for experience in waste or transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• Preferred: waste or transportation industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and retains existing customers by proactively reaching out daily.
• Develops knowledge of services, pricing, and offers to existing customers.
• Executes contractual re-signs to extend relationships and profitability.
• Responds to cancellation requests per escalation policy.
• Communicates proactively on pricing initiatives with customers.
• Records activities in Salesforce and documents calls, meetings, and proposals.
• Captures customer emails, minimizes rate restrictions and credits.
• Increases customer penetration by selling the full Republic Services product suite.
• Meets with Sales Manager weekly to review retention progress and key relationships.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
