Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–2 years experience in communications, public relations, journalism, public policy, advertising or related field.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be flexible for evenings/weekends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Interest in global health and development issues, gender equality, social justice, food/nutrition systems, and/or international health.

Responsibilities

  • Attend internal and client meetings and Teams calls; draft and update status reports; respond to staff and client requests promptly.
  • Write, edit and proofread press materials, strategy memorandums, blogs, web pages, videos and other client/agency collateral.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team to understand client goals and develop advertising and communication strategies.
  • Track and report on account-related news, coverage, research and online conversations.
  • Execute media relations tasks including media list development and pitching; build relationships with journalists and bloggers.
  • Assist in coordinating media, client and agency events; identify venues and coordinate logistics with creative teams.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and apply public engagement and social media tools.
  • Contribute to and implement media strategies as directed by senior staff.
  • Facilitate account billing.

Salary range - $60,000 - $70,000

You are an Account Executive with a background and/or interest in global health and development who knows how to...

  • Provide service support by attending internal and client meetings and Teams calls, meeting deadlines, troubleshooting problems, drafting and updating status reports, and responding to staff, client requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Write, edit and proofread written materials and creative collateral including but not limited to press materials, strategy memorandums, blog posts, web pages/sites, videos, advertising elements and/or general client and agency correspondence.
  • Collaborate with an integrated communications team to understand client goals and develop relevant and effective advertising and communication strategies.
  • Track, analyze and report on account-related news, coverage, research and online conversation.
  • Execute media relations efforts including media list development and pitching, and develop strong ongoing relationships with journalists, reporters and bloggers.
  • Assist in coordinating media, client and agency events, including identifying and securing venues; working with creative team to develop marketing and collateral materials such as signage, handouts, and other branded materials; coordinating with internal departments on additional logistics such as media placement, event production and webcasting.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and implement public engagement and social media tools.
  • Contribute to and implement media strategies as directed by senior staff.
  • Facilitate account billing.

You have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience managing projects and/or clients in communications, public relations, journalism, public policy, advertising or a related field.
  • Proven success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; flexibility to work evenings and weekends - because we're a client services firm and sometimes that's when our clients need us.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • An interest in global health and development issues, gender equality, social justice, food/nutrition systems, and/or international health. $60,000 - $70,000
