Summary:

The Account Executive will focus on building new business in the K12, Higher Education, and Workforce Development sectors. The role requires a solid understanding of sales processes, education and government sectors, stakeholder decision-making, consultative selling, problem solving, and developing compelling value propositions.

Our ideal candidate is skilled in consultative, technology sales, specifically for EdTech solutions, with a successful track record of quota attainment. Above all, they must be passionate about serving as a workforce development advocate and helping others on their career paths.

Position Details:
  • This full-time, fully remote position involves working on complex, consultative deals that require tailored strategies and solutions. It requires residing in the assigned territory, with domestic travel up to 50% or more.
  • The primary territory is Southern California; candidates must be based in this region. Territories may change based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through creative outreach within your territory.
  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop opportunities in new key accounts.
  • Create compelling proposals that align with customer needs based on value propositions.
  • Build long-term relationships, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Analyze job market needs versus existing training infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns and provide feedback.
  • Support contract negotiations, integration, change management, and governance activities.
  • Handle inbound inquiries with a strategic, long-term perspective.
  • Develop deal timelines, meet milestones, and maintain activity records in CRM.
  • Engage in consultative relationship building, understanding customer pain points, articulating value, and identifying early adopters.
  • Gather insights from users to inform product development.
  • Own opportunities from start to finish, contributing to a small and growing team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience meeting personal sales quotas.
  • Proven success in exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in Higher Education; government experience is a plus.
  • Track record of long-term customer retention.
  • Consultative sales experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and related software.
  • VR/AR experience is a plus.
What We Offer:

The base salary range is estimated between $90,000 - $110,000, depending on credentials, experience, and location. The role includes commissions and benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick leave, and health insurance.
