The Role

As an Account Executive for ClearlyRated, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and managing relationships with mid-sized to enterprise-level (50 to 3,000 employee) B2B Professional Service firms. Industries we cater to include staffing, accounting, legal, Commercial Construction, Insurance, IT, HR Services, Architecture & Engineer, and others. This role requires a strategic approach to identify client needs, present tailored solutions, and achieve sales targets across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation :

Identify and research potential clients within the target industries.

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities.
  • Sales Process Management :

Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.

  • Conduct thorough discovery calls to understand client needs and challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Relationship Building :

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to clients.

Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure client satisfaction and seamless service delivery.

  • Performance Tracking :

Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management.

Reporting Structure + Working at ClearlyRated : This role reports to our VP of Sales directly but with planned growth, will likely report into a sales manager in a few months as we grow and scale the business. While ClearlyRated is an established business founded in 2003, with a recent capital infusion, we still very much operate like a startup, so things change quickly. We have a lot already figured out but we still have some figuring out to do. If that excites you, this may be the role for you as you'll have a direct hand in the company's future direction. The ideal candidate can prove a successful sales background where they have both prospected and closed business, is growth-minded, curious, crafty, tenacious, and is ready to take the initiative in our next phase of exciting growth!

Role Requirements

  • 3-5+ or more years of experience as a successful full cycle account executive
  • Cold outbound and prospecting experience is a must as you will be required to cultivate your own deals in addition to working marketing provided leads
  • Growth-minded, coachable, curious, and eager to learn
  • Flexible and open to change. We're a start-up, and priorities may shift as we grow.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. While we have a lot figured out, there is still more to uncover. You'll have the autonomy to try new things. As a front-line member of the sales team, you'll have a hand in our company direction.
