Job description

PLUM is a fintech company that helps financial institutions grow by providing software powered by AI and data science, designed specifically for lenders and related ecosystem participants.

As an Account Executive, you will manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing, building on Plum’s impressive client base in financial services.

This position is remote and open to candidates across the US, provided they have a strong internet connection. While in-person meetings occur a few times annually, the role remains fully remote. You will collaborate with a team of experts in commercial real estate and data science through Slack, group, and company meetings. Our team values fun, hard work, and impactful contributions.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire sales cycle — from outreach and discovery to negotiation and closing.
  • Research and strategically target prospective customers.
  • Build a sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, online demos, and digital engagement.
  • Apply consultative selling to understand customer pain points and offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and account management teams.
  • Create presentation decks and conduct research to confidently present to executives.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet quotas consistently.
  • Negotiate deals efficiently, including pricing and structuring.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Account Executive with a proven track record in technology sales exceeding quotas.
  • Experience selling to diverse customer segments, including enterprise and mid-market.
  • Strong understanding of data applications and use cases.
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay focused amidst multiple priorities.
  • Extensive outbound prospecting experience and pipeline development.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, Docusign, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling B2B software in a startup environment.
  • Knowledge of CRM technologies and APIs.
  • Understanding of the financial and lending ecosystems.
