Kintetsu World Express is seeking a results-driven sales professional to drive growth in logistics and international freight forwarding. You will develop new accounts, participate in RFQs, and expand share while maintaining strong customer relationships locally and beyond state lines.
Daily activities include CRM documentation, prospecting, travel, and collaboration with overseas offices. If you’re motivated, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
To collaborate closely with other Company offices on assigned accounts. The key account management includes, development of brand new accounts, participate in Requests for Quotation (RFQ), to expand share-up lanes from the assigned accounts.
1. Research, analyze and identify business prospects through daily cold calling, web research, and networking for new business opportunities (on both local and out of state) whereby business travel will be necessary.
2. To establish and cultivate business relationship and set up face to face visitation with new potential customers and maintain relationships with current customers.
3. To gain additional business and/or maximize our profit from the assigned accounts by periodical review of our direct costs verses our selling rates, and relationship building with assigned accounts.
4. Document all sales activity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
5. Effective communication with employees, company overseas offices, and agents concerning target accounts as well as assigned accounts.
6. Participate in Request for Quote (RFQ) and collaborate with other offices to complete RFQ.
7. Either weekly, and/or Bi-Weekly call with RVP on review of current activities and issues pertaining accounts assigned.
8. Closely monitor accounts receivable with accounting staff to ensure timely collection. Maintain no more than 2% of total accounts receivable over sixty (60) days.
9. Travel by car may be required.
10. Travel by Air (Domestic and/or International) may be required.
11. Overnight stays (Domestic and/or International) may be required.
