Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an experienced Insurance Account Manager in Denver to manage accounts from submission through binding, coordinating documentation and communications with brokers and underwriters.

The role involves negotiating terms with carriers, marketing for assigned accounts, and delivering quotes and recommendations to support placement decisions. It also covers processing renewals, endorsements, and cancellations with accuracy while maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support.
  • Experience managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activities.
  • Active state insurance license required in applicable lines of business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts from submission through binding, coordinating all required documentation and communications.
  • Coordinate with brokers and underwriters to solicit, quote, and maintain new and renewal business.
  • Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, deductibles, enhancements, and exclusions.
  • Select appropriate carriers and manage the marketing process for assigned accounts.
  • Prepare quotes, coverage comparisons, and recommendations to support placement decisions.
  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations with accuracy and compliance.
  • Issue binders, invoices, and confirm coverage details with complete documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders for timely account activities.
  • Support retention and renewal strategies by identifying opportunities to expand coverage and strengthen relationships.
  • Provide guidance to support staff to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
  • Conduct research and prepare account or market analyses for client and business development.

  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and carrier guidelines
  • Issue binders, invoices, and confirm coverage details, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Maintain ongoing communication with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of account activities
  • Support retention and renewal strategies by identifying opportunities to expand coverage and strengthen client relationships
  • Provide guidance and direction to support staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery
  • Conduct research and prepare account or market analysis to support client and business development efforts
  • Maintain accurate records and manage all correspondence in accordance with company standards
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier capabilities through ongoing education and training
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support roles (typically 3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activities
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage structures, and market dynamics
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions with limited supervision
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Active state insurance license required in applicable lines of business
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier guidelines
  • Ability to negotiate terms and evaluate coverage options to support optimal placement outcomes
  • Effective account management skills across the full lifecycle (submission, quoting, binding, renewal)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems used for policy and account management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with agents, carriers, and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in decision-making
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends and market developments

The annual base salary for this position is $80k - $100k.
