Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency delivering paid media, SEO, CRO and web work for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you own a book of recurring clients and ensure growth through renewals and expanding engagements.

You will collaborate with the sales team to win new clients and with strategists and delivery teams to present a single voice to clients, while carrying a seven-figure quota and earning base plus commission. Remote in USA or Canada.

Qualifications

• Agency account management experience in marketing, digital, creative or advertising.
• Track record of retaining clients and selling more work with measurable results.
• Comfort carrying a quota and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Retain and renew your book of clients and monitor account health.
• Identify upsells and new projects within each client.
• Achieve a seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.

What You Will Own

• Retention across your book: the relationship, the renewal and the early warning when an account is drifting.
• Upsells and expansion: finding the next project inside each client and selling it.
• A seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Working with the strategists and delivery team who run the work, so the client hears one clear voice.

What You Need

• Agency account management experience. Marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency. This is a must.
• A record of keeping clients and selling them more work, with numbers you can walk us through.
• Comfort carrying a quota.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Base plus commission, split 50/50.
