Job summary

Our Next Energy Inc. in Novi, Michigan is seeking a Business Development Associate to learn battery technology and support BD activities, coordinate the sales process, and maintain current marketing materials and quotes.

You will manage inbound leads, schedule meetings, update CRM, help with revenue forecasting, conduct market research, and prepare orders and contracts in D365. Occasional travel (<30%) to trade shows and customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or other CRM systems.
• Self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic battery technology and support Business Development activities.
• Coordinate the sales process, including quotes, PO checklists, and commercial terms.
• Maintain customer pitch decks, datasheets, quote templates, and other materials for the sales team.
• Support inbound sales leads and the sales inbox; schedule meetings and prepare agendas.
• Maintain CRM data, pipeline updates, customer status, and next steps for forecasting.
• Assist with revenue and pack forecasting by maintaining customer demand data.
• Conduct market analysis and industry research to support BD initiatives.
• Create sales orders and support commercial documentation in D365 ERP.
• Support trade shows, marketing initiatives, exhibit preparation, and logistics.
• Prepare, route, and track NDAs and Supply Agreements through legal review.
• Maintain customer files and sales documentation for data accuracy.
