This full-time role partners with the Office of Disability Services to ensure compliant, individualized accommodations and inclusive learning environments. The Learning Specialist will assess documentation, determine accommodations, and coordinate resources and assistive technologies.

St. John's University's Office of Disability Services is seeking adynamic and passionate individual to serve as a full-time in-personLearning Specialist. The Learning Specialist works directly withstudents registered with the office to provide individualizedsupport and accommodations, fostering an inclusive learningenvironment that promotes academic success and personal growth. TheLearning Specialist performs educational, instructional, andadministrative work associated with ensuring compliance withapplicable policies and laws.
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is part of the Departmentof Student Wellness at St. John's University. The Department ofStudent Wellness takes an integrated approach to wellness,consisting of Student Health Services, Wellness Education andPrevention, the Center for Counseling and Consultation (CCC), theOffice of Disability Services (ODS), Campus Recreation (CREC), andSexual Violence Outreach, Awareness, and Response (SOAR).

This position operates in a professional office environment. Thisposition is required to use standard office equipment such aspersonal computers, printers, etc.
This position is a full-time, in-person position. Typical hours areMonday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the expectationfor a flex schedule of two or three days to accommodate eveningappointments and programs. This position occasionally requiresextended hours and weekend work. Travel when appropriate andrequested.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual salaryfor this position is $66,300.
