Apple, Inc. is seeking a product design engineer for the Beats Accessories Product Design team in Los Angeles.

You will conceive, design, test, and bring into production a diverse array of accessory products, collaborating with Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Reliability, Software, and Marketing to meet objectives and validate designs through mass production. The role involves designing mechanical parts, performing analyses, creating drawings, supporting factory builds,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in product design.
• BS Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design.
• Experience with DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to select materials and processes.
• Some experience with basic finite element analysis and general mechanical engineering analysis.
• Excellent communication skills; able to present concepts to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and quality-focused; adaptable to changing environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally (10%+).

Responsabilités

• Design mechanical parts including plastic, metal, or softgoods parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet integration and performance requirements.
• Create 2D technical drawings and review inspection reports.
• Perform engineering analyses to ensure designs meet requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Support factory builds and on-site development activities, including international travel.
• Conduct failure analysis and determine corrective actions.
