Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, CA, is seeking a Product Design Engineer for its Audio Product Design team to conceive, design, test, and bring to production devices that redefine the music experience. You will collaborate with multiple functions across hardware and packaging to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in product design, or equivalent.
• BS Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, and geometric tolerancing.
• Some experience with basic finite element analysis and general mechanical engineering analysis.
• Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment.
• Ability to travel internationally (10%+).

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, test, solve problems, and bring into production products that redefine the music experience.
• Work with Industrial Design, Audio Engineering, Packaging, Safety, Hardware Engineering, EMC, Operations and Marketing.
• Integrate advanced components into new products and ensure manufacturability.
