Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking an Accessibility Specialist to conduct intake interviews and implement accessibility solutions for students registering with the department. You will screen for academic issues and coordinate accommodations, including tutoring and testing, while collaborating with college personnel and external vendors.

The role involves developing workshops on assistive technologies, ensuring confidentiality of records, and assisting with course selections and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and one year of related experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality of records.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial intake interviews and screen for academic issues.
• Coordinate accommodations for students and assist with testing and materials.
• Develop and present workshops on assistive technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with college personnel and external vendors as needed.
• Ensure data is entered into databases and prepare reports.
