Job summary

SourceAmerica is seeking Accessibility Interns to help remediate PDFs, PowerPoints, and Word docs for accessibility. Interns will design accessible samples and contribute to internal and external templates while learning accessibility tools.

The role supports a hybrid work model with potential fully remote options, based on job requirements and location. Applicants should have completed the LaunchIT IT program and be prepared to collaborate across a 400+ organization.

Qualifications

• Completed the LaunchIT (Information Technology) program course.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across a 400+ organization with a national footprint.

Responsibilities

• Review and remediate PDFs and other documents for barriers to usability and accessibility.
• Assist with the creation of internal and external document templates.
• Openness to learning document accessibility software such as Colour Contrast Analyzer and Commonlook PDF.
• Actively participate in SourceAmerica's Everyday Performance Management program.
• Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
