Job summary

SourceAmerica is seeking Accessibility Interns to work on the AbilityOne Programs and create accessible documents. Projects include remediating PDFs, PowerPoints, and Word documents, and designing accessible samples for portfolios.

Interns will learn accessibility software and participate in the Everyday Performance Management program. Requirements include completing the LaunchIT program and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Completed the LaunchIT (Information Technology) program course.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) is expected.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and remediate PDFs and other documents for barriers to usability and accessibility.
• Assist with the creation of internal and external document templates.
• Open to learning accessibility software such as Colour Contrast Analyzer and Commonlook PDF.
• Participate in SourceAmerica’s Everyday Performance Management program.
• Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
