Job summary

SourceAmerica is seeking Accessibility Interns to support the AbilityOne Programs by creating accessible documents and samples for portfolios. You will remediate PDFs, PowerPoints, and Word documents and learn accessibility tools.

The role offers a hybrid work model with some remote flexibility, compensation between $20 and $25 per hour, and the chance to contribute to national initiatives while expanding skills in document accessibility.

• Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Who We Are ...

SourceAmerica is searching for Accessibility Interns to work with our AbilityOne Programs. Accessibility Interns will work on projects designated by the accessibility team to create accessible documents. Projects will include remediating PDFs, PowerPoints, and Word documents Additionally interns will design and create accessible samples based on source documents for their personal portfolio.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $20.00 - $25.00 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What You Must Have ...

• Completed the LaunchIT (Information Technology) program course.

Preferred Bonus

• Studying for the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Concepts

Other Requirements

• Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and teams across a 400+ organization with a national footprint
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid work model-where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek-as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and one's proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.
