Job summary

Nemours is hiring an Access Strategist to join our Jacksonville, Florida team. The role shapes how patients begin their care journey by guiding them to the right provider, location, and appointment type with decision-supported scheduling workflows.

The Access Strategist collaborates with clinical, operational, and IT teams to strengthen access, support self-service scheduling, and improve patient and staff experience. Bachelor's degree and healthcare workflow design experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience; three to five years of healthcare experience preferred, with emphasis on patient access.
• Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and implementing workflows, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the development of smart scheduling decision trees guiding patients and schedulers to visit type, provider, location, and referral pathway.
• Establish governance for scheduling logic including intake, review, approval, version control, and maintenance.
• Create documentation, standards, and training resources for decision-supported scheduling.
