Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks an Access Strategist to join the Jacksonville, Florida team. The role shapes how patients begin their care journey by guiding scheduling decisions and improving access workflows for staff and patients.

Responsibilities include designing scheduling decision trees, governing logic, creating training resources, and partnering with Epic Scheduling and MyChart teams to ensure reliable self-scheduling and access enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of six months of healthcare experience; 3–5 years preferred with emphasis on patient access.
• Experience designing, documenting, and implementing workflows, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the development of smart scheduling decision trees guiding patients to the right visit type, provider, location, and referral pathway.
• Create clear governance for scheduling logic, including intake, review, approval, version control, and maintenance.
• Develop documentation, standards, and training resources for decision-supported scheduling.
• Serve as SME for decision-supported scheduling and drive adoption of access workflows.
• Collaborate with Epic Scheduling and MyChart teams to ensure tools are configured accurately for staff and self-scheduling.
• Use performance trends and feedback to identify gaps and recommend improvements to utilization and lead time.
• Support creation of educational materials and training programs for stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
