Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Surgery Scheduler Supervisor to oversee surgical scheduling across ambulatory settings. You will coach the scheduling team, manage timekeeping, and ensure coverage including remote staff, while aligning service lines and improving patient access.

Collaborate with Operations and Nursing leadership to optimize OR utilization and scheduling accuracy, while staying compliant with payer processes and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare scheduling or ambulatory operations.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient access workflows.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical schedules across operating rooms and ambulatory centers.
• Monitor KPIs such as scheduling accuracy and OR utilization.
• Lead and coach scheduling staff and manage timekeeping and schedules.
• Analyze scheduling data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Partner with clinical leadership to implement workflow improvements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and payer authorization processes.
• Maintain proficiency in scheduling systems (Epic, TalkDesk).
• Support onboarding and continuous education of scheduling staff.
• Assist during staffing gaps to maintain workflow continuity.
