Job summary

Boston College Libraries are seeking an Access Services Assistant to join the Access Services Department at O'Neill Library. Under the direction of the Offsite Collections and Delivery Services Manager, the Assistant plays a central role in fulfillment operations, collection maintenance, course reserves support, and library outreach, while also staffing service points at O'Neill and Bapst Libraries.

The responsibilities for this position include: Processing incoming and outgoing interlibrary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with faculty, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing interlibrary loan shipments (approx. 30,000 items annually).
• Train and supervise student employees assigned to fulfillment duties.
• Process patron requests moving to and from off-site storage facilities.
• Support Course Reserves workflows and resolve broken links.
• Staff service points at O'Neill and Bapst Libraries and handle inquiries.
• Maintain signage and social media content in coordination with graphics/outreach.
• Assist with collection maintenance projects and inventory updates.
