Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Grove Hospital Patient Registration is seeking a Nighttime, Full-Time Access Coordinator in Grove, OK. You will register patients into the ADT system, verify insurance benefits, and maintain patient confidentiality with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities include collecting payments, obtaining signatures for admissions, establishing financial arrangements, and coordinating with billing and approvals as needed. Reports to the Access Supervisor and Access Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with common office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Complete EMTALA and HIPAA trainings within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients into the ADT system or current computer programs.
• Collects payments (deposits, co-pays, deductibles) and balances cash drawer.
• Obtains signatures for admission and authorization; explains Medicare processes.
• Maintains confidentiality and delivers excellent customer service.
• Coordinates with billing for pre-certification and insurance verification.
• Reports to Access Supervisor and Access Manager.

Join our team as a Nighttime, Full-Time, Access Coordinator, at INTEGRIS Health Grove Hospital Patient Registration, in Grove, OK.

The Access Coordinator accurately registers all patients into the ADT System or the facility's current computer programs, verifies insurance benefits, and maintains confidentiality and dignity of each patient as an individual. Maintains established guidelines regarding productivity. Requires excellent customer service skills.

Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Responsibilities

The Access Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collects cash, checks and credit card payments for deposits, co-pays and deductibles.
• Obtains all required signatures for admission and authorization. Provides explanation for Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire.
• Establishes financial arrangements with guarantor when necessary.
• Registers all patients into the ADT System, or the facility's current computer programs. Obtains benefit and pre-certification information and enters information into the billing system.
• Maintains pre-collect in accordance with Productivity Requirement guidelines.
• Explains the billing process to customers.
• Balances cash drawer and all credit card batches daily. Passes receipts and money to Accounting Department for daily deposits.
• Orders tests through the use of Order Entry and paper requisitions.
• Works Switchboard as needed.

Reports to the Access Supervisor and Access Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the following computer software: Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet.
• Complete EMTALA training and HIPAA training within 1 months of hire date.
