Job summary

In-Telecom is seeking an Access Control & Security Technician for project installations in Texas. You will install access control devices, cameras, and low-voltage systems, run and terminate cabling, and assist with configuration and testing.

The role emphasizes dependable, safety-conscious workmanship and clear project documentation, coordinating with managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure a successful handoff and site readiness.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on experience in access control, video surveillance, security-system installation, or low-voltage cabling.
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, and schedules.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial access control, video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems per drawings and standards.
• Run, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling including Cat5e/6 and fiber where required.
• Coordinate with project leadership and other trades to meet scope and safety requirements.
• Test systems, document results, and provide clear handoffs and status updates.
