Unity Health Care is seeking an Access Control staff member for our Washington, DC facilities. The role involves monitoring entrances, guiding patients and visitors, and helping ensure a safe, orderly environment across health centers.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, good judgment in challenging situations, and the ability to communicate building policies clearly to the public. Full-time, on-site work with opportunities to support emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred in related fields.
• Previous security-related experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the public.

Responsabilités

• Greet and monitor patients and visitors entering and exiting health centers, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence at building entrances and conduct surveillance and inspections of interior and exterior areas.
• Monitor the flow of people and help maintain an orderly, safe environment.
• Open and close health centers according to schedules and procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns to designated staff or authorities.
• Complete daily sign-in sheets and incident reports.
• Respond to patient and visitor concerns courteously and refer complaints when necessary.
• Help de-escalate conflicts per policies.
• Provide information on accessibility, restrooms, lost and found, and building policies.
• Keep common areas clear and report hazards.
