Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, OH is hiring a Security Officer - 2nd Shift - Unarmed to monitor entry points, verify access, and maintain a visible security presence at a manufacturing and industrial site.

You will deliver customer service to employees and visitors, perform patrols, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming and secure environment while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials, issue visitor and contractor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, visitor activity, access issues, and shift handoffs.
