Job summary

Jones Advisors HR Consulting is partnering with S.A.M.S. Inc. to hire an Access Control & Security Systems Technician (Installer II) for the Raleigh-Durham area.

This in-person, full-time role emphasizes hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and mentorship of newer installers while advancing to senior roles. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of low-voltage and commercial access control experience, reads construction drawings, and works with security components, IP cameras, and alarms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of low-voltage installation experience.
• Hands-on commercial access control installation experience.
• Commercial security system installation experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely work from ladders and lifts.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and assist with commissioning commercial physical security systems in the Raleigh-Durham area and Southeast.
• Read blueprints and installation drawings.
• Troubleshoot installation and system issues.
• Complete accurate job and closeout documentation.
• Assist senior technicians and mentor Installer I team members as skills grow.
