Job summary

S.A.M.S. Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking an Installer II for independent installation and commissioning of commercial physical security systems throughout the Myrtle Beach area and the Southeast.

You will install access control, readers, strikes, power supplies, cameras, and related low-voltage components, while reading blueprints and ensuring quality workmanship. Growth includes mentoring junior installers and advancing through the career path.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of low-voltage installation experience.
• Hands-on commercial access control installation experience.
• Commercial security system installation experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely work from ladders and lifts.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

Access Control & Security Systems Technician - Installer II

Full-Time | $20-$30/hour + Overtime Opportunities

What You'll Do

As an Installer II, you'll independently install and assist with commissioning commercial physical security systems throughout the Myrtle Beach area and Southeast.

Your work will include:

• Electronic access control systems
• Card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks and electrified door hardware
• REX devices, door contacts, motion sensors and push buttons
• Control panels and power supplies
• Low-voltage cabling, termination, labeling and testing
• IP surveillance cameras and NVRs
• Intercom and visitor management systems
• Intrusion detection systems
• Structured cabling as needed
• Reading blueprints and installation drawings
• Troubleshooting installation and system issues
• Testing completed installations and correcting punch-list items
• Completing accurate job and closeout documentation

You’ll also assist senior technicians and help mentor Installer I team members as your skills and leadership abilities grow.

What You Need

Required:

• 2+ years of low-voltage installation experience
• Hands-on commercial access control installation experience
• Commercial security system installation experience
• Ability to read construction drawings

Experience That Gets Our Attention

Experience or manufacturer certifications involving Mercury, HID, ASSA ABLOY, Allegion, BadgePass, Entrust, Avigilon Alta/Openpath, Genetec, LenelS2, CCURE, Verkada, Axis, Milestone, Hanwha, Cisco or PoE networking is a plus.

Manufacturer certifications are highly valued.
