Job summary

S.A.M.S. Inc. in Raleigh-Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Access Control & Security Systems Technician (Installer II) to install and commission commercial systems in the Raleigh-Durham area and the Southeast.

This full-time, in-person role requires 2+ years of low-voltage and hands-on access control installation, read drawings, basic networking, and strong troubleshooting. The position offers training, certifications, overtime, and a clear career path.

Qualifications

2+ years of low-voltage installation experience.
Hands-on commercial access control installation experience.
Commercial security system installation experience.
Ability to read construction drawings.
Basic networking knowledge.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to safely work from ladders and lifts.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

Install and commission commercial physical security systems in the Raleigh-Durham area and Southeast.
Work with electronic access control systems, card readers, electric strikes, and related hardware.
Troubleshoot installation and system issues and complete accurate closeout documentation.
Assist senior technicians and mentor Installer I as skills grow.
