Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Access Center Specialist II in Orlando, FL to handle high-volume appointment scheduling, gather patient demographics and insurance, and discuss financial obligations with families. The role requires accurate data entry in the EMR and close collaboration with Financial Advocates when needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience in a medical setting and may hold HFMA certification (CRCR).

Competenze

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year or more of customer service, medical office or call center experience is required.
• CRCR Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (HFMA) – preferred.

Mansioni

• Answers calls for assigned clinic specialties in an efficient manner, using standardized greeting, content, and closure of call.
• Accurately captures and verifies patient demographics, guarantor, legal guardian, and insurance information in the EMR system.
• Schedules appointments in the EMR system, following scheduling and insurances guidelines.
• Provides all necessary appointment information at time of scheduling and directions/paperwork via mail or email after scheduling.
• Monitors electronic communications and process documentation to stay updated on department processes.
• Collects copays, outstanding balances, and any applicable prepayments at time of scheduling; partners with Financial Advocate when appropriate.
• Identifies and attempts to resolve complaints and escalates when necessary.
• Demonstrates mastery in all scheduling groups to provide cross coverage when needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor such as assisting with MyChart messages, canceled clinics, follow-up and wait list reports.
