Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is launching a paid 6-week Training Academy for an Academy Trainee - Welding. This on-site temp-to-hire program provides hands-on welding instruction and fundamentals.

You will build practical skills reading blueprints, using tape measures, and operating shop equipment, with safety training and virtual components to support learning.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning welding skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or hands-on environments is a plus.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Reliability, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Training will include: Welding, Safety Standards, Blueprint Reading, Materials Knowledge/Metals, Equipment Setup, Virtual Training.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning welding skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive, maintenance, assembly, farming, military, or other hands-on environments preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
